March 21
— BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Planes attacked targets on the outskirts of
Baghdad and anti-aircraft fire crackled in the sky early on
Saturday, just hours after an intense U.S. blitz that triggered
giant fireballs and deafening explosions.
"The planes are flying very low," Reuters correspondent Nadim
Ladki said. "They are attacking targets on the outskirts of the
city."
A few minutes earlier, Ladki said, emergency sirens sounded
across the city.
